What is a Mantra?

The Sanskrit word mantra is made up of its root, man, meaning “mind,” with the suffix -tra meaning “tool”.
A mantra is a sound, syllable, word or phrase that is repeated over and over during meditation to aid in concentration (keep your mind focused) for a positive beneficial state of mind causing powerful vibrational resonance and harmony on a spiritual plain.
