Water

A clean source of water is important for health and a long life.

  • City water is poisoned by default, well water needs to be checked for previous environmental hazards that may leak into your supply.
  • Filtered water is important regardless if you use city water or well water.
  • Do not use regular city water.
  • If you must buy water, spring water is what you want to use.
  • Do not use distilled water for cooking or drinking.
  • Best water would be filtered, Alkaline PH, ionized water. Maybe leave the ionized part out, see comments on this page about ionization.

Know your water quality

You could go online for your city and get your water quality report. It is by law freely accessible. Here are two sites that have city water reports, www.ewg.org, and EPA
Other options is to send a direct water sample to an independent lab.
You can also search online for well test kits and water test kits to do it yourself.

Do you like fickle matter in your drinks or food?

  • If you eat out at fast food establishments you most like have, not only from the city water supply, but worse is the bacteria in ice from unclean employees.
  • Here is comment on saliva in food.

Filtration options

I used the Aquasona EQ-600 Rhino Whole House System for almost two decades now. When I started out, they only had the 600 model and have expanded and continue to improve their product line and filters. Once you purchase the system you should just buy the replacement filters for each segment when expires. I like to buy all filters for the 6 years that I need all at once. I have no complaints at all and am very happy with this product.
Visit there site here, for latest products and prices. You should buy direct only!

Sites that have reviewed Whole Hose Water Filters

Please go through the reviews above. As when I read the reviews to be surprised that each one of the review of 2019 all state that the Aquasona is the best choice. Also the reviews talk about what I wanted to place here and that is why you should be concerned about the water you drink. We are being poisoned in so many different ways, Water is the second most needed resource to our body and mind. The government states it is OK to have sustainable amounts of chemicals in your water. I could go on but I do not believe I need to. Do you really want to trust the government on your health? One reminder is the Flint Michigan Lead issue a while back.

Search for water quality in America to find out if cities are changing the way water is purified, treated, excetera.

Is your water really safe to drink? What about your children and drinking water at schools and public parks?

Other options to the whole house filters or for traveling.

Take water, drinks, smoothies with you. Do not use plastic containers.

Good time to talk about stop drinking and storing your water, drinks, excreta in plastic. I used to use glass and still do for most things I store. Traveling with glass water bottles is nice, however they do brake and or shatter. I have found for years now to pack my supplies in insulated stainless-steel containers.  I do not have to worry about stainless-steel leaching chemicals into my supply regardless of the content is hot or cold.

Ionization and PH of your water

Ionization of water could be a good thing. I have researched these products for almost two decades now, however, did not purchase. The biggest reason is the thousands of dollars they cost, and the not so proven studies on the benefits, and you still need a good Whole House Filter in front of the Ionizer.
Alkaline PH water is a product of the Rhino system I explained above.
Here is one page that explains what this Dr. believes is the dangers of Alkaline Ionizers, which Is a good read.

Here are a few sites that have review of Ionizers.

Summary

As I was checking and finding links for this site, I noticed that there is no disagreement that the water we drink needs to be filtered (using different types of filters), possibly UV filtered, and/or even reverse osmosis, all depending on the quality of your water.  Ionization should be your last option.
