Lemon Ginger Morning Drink

This Lemon Morning Drink is a great way to start your mornings with a cleansing drink rich with vitamin c, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory and detoxifying benefits that help gently cleanse and alkalize the body, and it’s also a great immune system booster.

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemon Ripe large organic
  • 1 Ginger root A fresh good thumb size piece
  • 16 oz Water Purified filtered

Instructions

  • Gather a large drinking glass or stainless-steel drinking container.
  • Use a Rikon Epicurean Garlic Press (or other type press) to press a good thumb size piece of fresh ginger root into the glass, including pulp. I take a knife and cut remaining from press into glass.
  • Cut Lemon in half.
  • Use a Norpro Stainless-Steel Citrus Juice Press, or other, to squeeze the juice out of both halves of the lemon into the glass.
  • Fill glass rest of way with Purified Filtered water (16 oz).
  • Mix and consume.

Notes

  • You can make a batch and pour the leftovers in mason jars to put in the refrigerator.
  • Then you can either reheat it or drink it chilled throughout the day, or save for next few mornings.
  • The ingredients in this lemon ginger detox have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits which also helps to alkalize our bodies.
