Knives and peelers

Ceramic Knives, Peeler, and plastic knives. Don't forget about the ceramic peeler.

Purpose: For cutting all your food with ceramic knives is so that the food does not brown, and get a metal taste.

Note:  Be careful that you are not buying metal knives that have a plastic coating.  These may look like ceramic knives at first glance, but look at the edge of the blade and you will see that they are metal.  Ceramic knives are usually an off white in color as the examples show.

Examples:

A thick plastic knive is used to cut lettuce and large fruits like watermelon.

Two examples:

To stay away from plastic (PVC) you could always find a Bamboo knive or knives.
