KitchenAid Professional Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer

Not really used in a Raw Food kitchen.

If you have only a couple of people in your family or are not preparing food for a group of people, then a smaller KitchenAid should work well for you. Remember to buy from KitchenAid directly or an Authorized dealer of KitchenAid or you maybe buying a refurbished unit that will fail. See my notes below.

If your KitchenAid is out of warranty you can find the parts on the World Wide Web to replace inexpensively, however these parts are not OEM and have failed on me multiple times. Sometimes they lasted a few months to a year. I ended up buying a new one from KitchenAid Professional series directly from KitchenAid.

We purchased a KitchenAid Professional Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer to stop my wife from killing the Cuisinart Food Prep with making bread.

The KitchenAid gears have had to be replaced twice now and as of writing, I need to take apart again as something is going wrong with it.  However what I found is to make sure you buy your KitchenAid directly from the factory or no warranty is honored.

The original KitchenAid Professional Series 6-Quart was supposed to be new when ordered on Amazon. I was able to get it about $100 less then buying through KitchenAid directly. The one only lasted a few month before it stripped gears. I believe this was refurbished with after market KitchenAid parts and that is why it kept stripping gears. The parts I bought to fix this KitchenAid were not from KitchenAid and did fail. I got tired of buying gears and grease to have fail again. I ended up buying another directly from KitchenAid and this one has been working for three years now without any issues.
